What you need
- 5-6 apples
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 5 tsp of nut meg
- 1 x star anise
- 50g vegan butter
- 50g coconut sugar
- 1 tbsp cornflour
- Cube your apples into 1cm (peel optional).
- Place into a pan with the butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, star anise, 100ml of water and simmer for 30 mins on a medium-high heat.
- Dissolve the cornflour in 1tbsp of water and stir into the compote and cook for 4 mins until it thickens.
- Spoon over porridge for a delicious, healthy breakfast. Enjoy!
