And this February, we’re putting brilliant seasonal produce on your menu that lets you show your body some love. Think red cabbage, leeks and radishes, plus healthy recipes to make the most of British kale before the season comes to an end.

With Valentine’s coming up our Chef’s will be showing you how to make special occasion cooking both healthy and delicious. Choose from British free-range pork valentine, sustainably sourced prawns, and brand new king oyster mushroom scallops

And the grand finale? It’s got to be a brownie, torte, tart, or slice of cake to finish. Healthy-ish? We’re down with that.

1. Black rice prawn & sugar snap risotto with chilli oil

On your 2 person menu

Prawns, glorious prawns! What’s plump, pink and sustainably fished? Your Mindful Chef prawns from The Big Prawn Company of course.

Founded in 1995 by chairman Sean, who told us he loves prawns so much he named the company in their honour! This is risotto, Mindful Chef style. Give the Italian classic a twist using vibrant black rice, chilli flakes and juicy sustainably sourced prawns. Finish with a handful of fresh pea shoots.

2. Pork valentine with hasselback potatoes & creamed leeks

On your 2 person menu

This Valentine’s, we’re chuffed to have special heart-shaped pork valentines on the menu – from our good friends, Thorner’s of Somerset. Founded over 30 years ago in the heart of Somerset, Thorner’s supplies us with quality pork from British pigs free to roam, reared on local soils.

Pork valentine steaks are a unique chop taken from the loin so it’s lean, juicy and easy to cook with. 100% British and 100% free-range, pork doesn’t get any tastier than this.

3. Seared mushroom ‘scallops’ & smoked garlic mash

On your 1 person, 2 people & family menus

We’re super excited to be bringing King oyster mushroom scallops to your plates for the first time (yes, they’re a thing). Grown by Smithy’s mushrooms who have been farming in West Lancashire since 1989, these aren’t any ordinary mushrooms. Smithy’s also supply Michelin starred restaurants – so you’re in for a real treat.

4. Black garlic chicken with celeriac fondant & roasted veg

On your 2 person menu

Rub juicy British free-range chicken with zingy black garlic, then roast over carrots and shallots. Serve with celeriac and plenty of gravy.

5. Balsamic steak, roasted beetroot & garlic yoghurt dressing

On your 2 person menu

Tired of the same old steak serve? Add kick to grass-fed British rump with roasted garlic-infused yoghurt, crunchy walnuts and a medley of veg dressed in balsamic and thyme.

6. Crispy duck with roasted pear & leek risotto

On your 1 person menu

A real treat – perfect for those nights when you need a delicious pick-me-up. Juicy British duck with homemade risotto, flecked with sweet pear and peppery rocket.

7. Tiger prawn arrabbiata

On your 1 person menu

We’ve taken traditional arrabbiata and really spiced it up. Juicy sustainably sourced tiger prawns meet plump capers, gooey aubergine, sweet shallot, brown rice penne – and that classic kick of chilli.

8. Pork valentine & sautéed potatoes with kale salsa verde

On your 1 person menu

Golden free-range British pork steaks join crisp-skinned potatoes and garlicky mushrooms in this Sunday lunch-worthy spread. Add a spoonful of homemade kale salsa verde – brightened with zingy capers, gherkins and wholegrain mustard – to finish.

9. Carne asada sharing plate

It’s fiesta o’clock! Bring Mexican-style vibes to your family’s table with this grass-feed British beef dish, served with quinoa and chimichurri.

10. Creamy Thai smoked salmon soup

A simple soup with big flavour! Creamy potatoes, sweet onion and fragrant green curry paste simmer with coconut milk, carrot ribbons and sustainably sourced smoked salmon. Spinach and garden-fresh coriander lend freshness.
